Capulus has been practicing astrology and astrological magic for 30 years. Besides being an active astrological consultant and teacher, he has a PhD on ancient philosophy and has been teaching at the university (UNAM/UIA) Medieval and Renaissance philosophy for close to 20 years, also doing published research on Neoplatonism (in relation to astrology, theurgy, etc) and participating in international congresses, academic and astrological.
He is a consecrated priest, initiated into several Afro-Caribbean mystery traditions, a work he integrates with astrology. Capulus studied with astrologers Luis Lesur and Robert Zoller (Zoller tutored him directly since he lived for a while in the same town, New Paltz N.Y.) as well as with kabbalist and astrologer Shimon Halevi.
Recently he finished a postdoc research stance working on a translation of a text about astrological magic by Marsilio Ficino, On sacrifice and magic. He is currently preparing the publication of a book on horary astrology and of translations of ancient texts of astrology and magic.
