Kepler College Advanced Professional Diploma in Astrology (KAPDA)

The Kepler Advanced Professional Diploma in Astrology (KAPDA) through Kepler College gives students the opportunity to further develop their knowledge of Astrology by completing an additional sixty (60) weeks of study plus a demonstration of professional growth.

Learning Outcomes

Kepler Advanced Professional Diploma in Astrology (KAPDA) will progress your skill level in three ways:

  • Expand your knowledge of the development of Astrology
  • Advance your Astrological skills to a more professional level
  • Provide an opportunity to demonstrate your elevated knowledge

Prerequisite Knowledge

To enroll in the KADPA at Kepler College, you must first successfully complete your Kepler College Professional Diploma in Astrology (KPDA). For additional information, contact registrar@keplercollege.org.

Diploma Requirements

This diploma requires sixty (60) credits to complete.

KAPDA requires completion of the KPDA Diploma plus an additional Sixty (60) credits of coursework. 

  • One of:
    • RP301 Applied Rectification 8 hr – Practicum
    • RP220 Applied Forecasting in the Client Session – Practicum

  • 20 credits of forecasting techniques
    • RA118 Research in Astrology
    • RA201 Essential Dignities & Debilities
    • RA202 Horary Astrology
    • RA301 Mundane Astrology

  • 5 credits of Professional Development
    • PD101 Branding: Attract the Right Clients with Astrology
    • PD102 Web Design and Content Writing
    • PD103 Creating a YouTube Channel/Post and Prosper: Social Media Strategies for Astrologers
    • PD205 How to Shine as a Sun Sign Columnist
    • E201 Vocational Astrology
    • PD301 Fundamentals of Life Coaching for Astrologers
    • PD302 The Sustainable Astrologer: Systems for a Lifelong Practice
    • PD303 Writing for Publications
    • PD304 Astropreneurship
    • Toastmasters Pathway completed (external)

  • 30 credits of concentrated study from one of the following certificates
    • Counselling and Relationships Certificate
    • Professional Development Certificate
    • AstroMapping Certificate
    • Alternative Traditions Certificate
    • History, Philosophy, and Sacred Tradition Certificate
    • Medical Astrology Certificate

R119 Advanced Demonstration of Learning:

Researching, Crafting, and communicating your findings is required to complete the KAPDA Diploma at Kepler College. This demonstration must be pre-approved and critiqued by a committee of designated Kepler College faculty members. Examples may include:

  • Publication of an expository written article (rather than a “creative” essay or one sharing your personal opinion). Similarly, an expository video presentation published on YouTube, Vimeo, or another video platform may be accepted
  • A recording of a speaking engagement at an event, such as a conference
  • Serving as Presenter for a Kepler College webinar
  • Serving as a Facilitator for a Kepler College study group
  • Prepare and deliver one (1) Master Class – class runs for 2 weeks, each class is 2.5 hours
  • There may be other tangible, acceptable demonstrations of learning, so please discuss them with a Faculty member after you have signed up for the course

All courses at Kepler College are taught in English unless noted otherwise. Proficiency in English is required for all students. 

All classes are held on Zoom and are recorded. All Practicums require all students to attend all classes. 

FAQs

Diploma Programs

Students may petition Kepler College to apply coursework they have completed at another astrology school toward elective credit. The maximum number of credits from external coursework allowed is twenty (20) weeks. External coursework must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of ten (10) hours of auditory or live instruction
  • Readings must be assigned and completed
  • Written homework must be assigned and completed
  • Where applicable, the coursework must cover the historical and philosophical underpinnings of the content presented
  • Written evidence of successful course completion, along with documentation of regular instructor feedback, plus a final evaluation showing that the student’s knowledge of tested material must be made available to Kepler College
  • Maximum credits awarded per transferred course is five (5) credits

A student should plan on approximately 3-4 years, assuming one ten (10) week class per term, to complete the rigorous series of courses at Kepler College. 

 ISAR and NCGR (National Council for Geocosmic Research) allow students who have completed the diploma program at Kepler College to sit for professional-level exams without requiring those students to complete previous exams.

Kepler College recognizes students who complete its diploma program with the Professional Diploma in Astrology (KPDA).

The diploma program is designed to provide a solid, grounded basis for building your astrological skills. The program includes a broad overview of the history of Astrology, its controversies, the links between Astrology and Astronomy, and related fields, as well as the various and diverse practices of Astrology through the ages.
