In the 1990s, a group of astrologers and translators reignited interest in Hellenistic astrology through the groundbreaking translation work of Project Hindsight. Their efforts revitalized the study of Hellenistic astrology, and in the decades since, the continued recovery and reconstruction of ancient texts and techniques has restored many formerly lost methods and theories to contemporary practice. The roots of Hellenistic astrology stretch back more than 2,000 years to Alexandria, Egypt, where Greek became a shared language among many ancient cultures following the conquests of Alexander the Great. Emerging from this cultural exchange, Hellenistic astrology synthesized Egyptian, Mesopotamian, and Greek traditions into a sophisticated astrological system that later spread throughout the Roman Empire.The Hellenistic astrology revival that began in the 1990s has expanded the ability of astrologers to offer insight, practical forecasting, and precise guidance to clients. In particular, it has restored powerful predictive methods known as “timelord techniques” to contemporary practice, including zodiacal releasing, decennials, circumambulations of the bounds, ascensional times, and planetary periods. Although significant progress has been made in integrating ancient methods into modern practice, much remains to be explored. The Hellenistic Timing Techniques Certificate is designed to help students develop greater precision, confidence, and skill in their astrological work while also encouraging active participation in the continuing reconstruction and preservation of the Hellenistic astrological tradition.
All courses require a high-intermediate astrological skill level. All courses have the skill set required identified.

He is the editor for the CAELi Institute’s quarterly journal The CAELi Review, co-hosts the Mercuranians Podcast, he teaches classes online through his website, and out of Salem, Massachusetts where he co-runs a local astrology group.
Gray is a practicing natal and horary astrologer who lives in Olympia, Washington. Gray enjoys bringing a relational, imaginative, and psychological approach to the living symbolism of astrology, using techniques drawn from ancient and modern sources. Gray has spoken at the UAC, NORWAC, and ISAR astrology conferences as well as for various astrology associations around the USA. A student of traditional astrologies for over 20 years, Gabe Rosas started with Robert Zoller’s medieval astrology course. He then later on as a pupil of Robert Schmidt at Project Hindsight. His practice of Hellenistic era astrology seeks to bring the wisdom and worldview of antiquity to people living in the modern world.
All courses at Kepler College are taught in English unless noted otherwise. Proficiency in English is required for all students.
All classes are held on Zoom and are recorded. All Practicums require all students to attend all classes.
Selecting a specific certificate when you begin your studies is not necessary. All credits earned from courses can be applied toward a specific certificate or a diploma.
Each certificate corresponds to a select set of courses that provide in-depth study in an astrological discipline. You can take courses that suit your needs and your timeline. If you choose to focus your studies on a specific certificate, you would take courses that apply only to that certificate.
Students may petition Kepler College to apply coursework they have completed at another astrology school toward elective credit. The maximum number of credits from external coursework allowed is twenty (20) weeks. External coursework must meet the following requirements:
Most certificates require successful completion of 40 weeks of study.
Some certificates require 30 weeks.

New astrologers should consider the Fundamentals courses in the Fundamentals Certificate. This group of courses teach core astrological knowledge. Students will learn how to analyze a Natal Chart, provide a clear interpretation, and answer basic client questions.
Certificates are designed to provide an in-depth study of a specific astrological discipline. This is an excellent way for students and professional astrologers to expand their astrological toolkits.
